Role overview
The role supports engineering and design teams with technical drawings, layouts, 3D models, and project documentation for construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare 2D plans, elevations, sections, details, layouts, and working drawings from engineering inputs.
- Develop 3D models, views, and visualizations for design and construction.
- Convert sketches, concepts, and mark-ups into detailed drawings.
- Check drawings for specifications, standards, accuracy, dimensions, annotations, completeness, and constructability.
- Incorporate revisions and comments; maintain drawing revision control, registers, and documentation.
- Coordinate across structural, architectural, MEP, civil, and other disciplines to resolve clashes and discrepancies.
- Prepare construction, fabrication, shop, erection, temporary works, and as-built drawings as needed.
- Extract 2D drawings from 3D models and prepare 3D illustrations for construction methodology, coordination, reviews, and presentations.
- Identify differences between design and site requirements and coordinate resolutions with engineers.
- Deliver drawings and models within agreed schedules and quality requirements.
Required skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant 3D/BIM software such as Revit, Tekla, Navisworks, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, construction practices, detailing, dimensions, and drafting standards.
- Ability to interpret structural, architectural, civil, and MEP drawings.
- Strong attention to detail, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Education and experience
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Relevant construction or engineering project experience is preferred.
