Plan and execute testing and commissioning for electrical and renewable energy systems.
Testing and commissioning
- Review approved drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection and test plans, and commissioning procedures.
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, QA/QC, HSE, and project teams.
- Test MV/HV equipment, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, cables, and electrical panels.
- Support testing and commissioning of solar PV systems, inverters, MV stations, SCADA, and monitoring systems.
- Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, HV withstand, relay protection, transformer, and functional tests as applicable.
- Perform pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, energization, and synchronization.
- Verify installation completion and prepare punch-list items before commissioning.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, energization, and approvals with utility and client representatives.
- Review test results, troubleshoot equipment and system issues, and complete testing records and commissioning dossiers.
- Prepare daily or weekly progress reports; support performance testing, reliability runs, and final handover.
Procedures and safety
- Carry out commissioning in accordance with approved procedures, safety requirements, and applicable standards.
- Follow LOTO, PTW, electrical safety, and energization procedures.
