The Store Assistant supports an appliance testing facility.
Testing room management
- Maintain the testing room in an organized, clean, and safe condition.
- Support housekeeping and proper storage practices in the testing facility.
Sample handling
- Receive, arrange, label, and store samples for traceability and accessibility.
Appliance testing
- Test blenders, food processors, ovens, coffee machines, and similar appliances.
- Evaluate appliance function and identify abnormalities, defects, or performance issues.
- Highlight issues related to operation, safety, usability, noise, heating, and other relevant parameters.
- Observe workplace safety and quality standards.
Reporting and documentation
- Record test observations, results, and findings using Excel, Word, or PowerPoint.
- Document test procedures, results, images, and videos.
Qualifications
- Any degree or diploma is required.
- Mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
- Basic understanding of appliance testing methods and product performance evaluation is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of electrical safety principles and safe handling of electrical appliances is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and documentation is required.
