Staff Fullstack Software Engineer with organization-wide impact, setting technical direction across UI and mission-critical backend services.

The company builds AI-driven intelligent site technology, including physical units and an Agentic AI platform.
Responsibilities
- Drive architecture across UI, BFF, GraphQL APIs, and backend data systems; author design documents and ship complex core components.
- Debug systemic issues across service boundaries, subgraphs, and authorization layers.
- Govern GraphQL federation and data contracts, including safe schema evolution and migrations.
- Define SLOs, tracing, and dashboards; ensure reliable real-time WebSocket and device-control paths.
- Mentor engineers, improve code reviews, lead design discussions, and deliver cross-team technical initiatives.

Experience and qualifications
- 8+ years of professional TypeScript development across client and server, with production architecture experience in React and Next.js App Router.
- Deep Node.js backend and GraphQL expertise, including schema design, federation, subscriptions, and N+1/DataLoader patterns; NestJS is preferred.
- Experience with relational databases, migrations, and query builders or ORMs; MySQL is preferred, with working knowledge of real-time WebSocket scaling.
- Knowledge of OAuth/OIDC, JWT, ABAC/ReBAC, Docker, container orchestration, and CI/CD optimization.
- Strong analytical debugging, legacy-code refactoring, technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder alignment skills.
Advantageous experience
- RabbitMQ, MQTT, Cedar, OPA, OpenTelemetry, Sentry, Coralogix, Turbo, Bun, or physical security/video streaming platforms are highly advantageous.
Benefits
- Full-time benefits include health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) match up to 4%, and flexible paid time off.
