Role overview

Drive software product quality, performance, and scalability as part of LVT's Software Quality team.

Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and SDETs to improve stability and deployment velocity.

Workplace

  • The role is based in-office at LVT headquarters in American Fork, Utah.

Responsibilities

  • Build distributed automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API services and integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Lead quality initiatives, provide architectural guidance, and set code review standards for test suites.
  • Analyze distributed failures across microservices, networks, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Design performance, stress, and load testing; build internal tools, mock services, and automation dashboards.
  • Maintain manual test strategies where needed and ensure coverage of critical user flows.
  • Mentor junior- and mid-level SDETs.

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on software automation, quality engineering, and backend testing infrastructure experience.
  • Expert Python or TypeScript skills and experience with modern test frameworks across web, mobile, and REST/GraphQL APIs.
  • Understanding of microservices, data validation, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on Docker, Kubernetes, cloud, and CI/CD experience.
  • Debugging experience with observability tools and network protocol concepts.
  • Familiarity with OWASP Top 10, SAST/DAST, and shift-left quality; strong communication and mentoring record.
