Site Engineer for an electrical substation project involving a 380kV substation.
Responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical installation activities and ensuring compliance with standards, drawings, quality, safety, and schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise installation of GIS equipment, power transformers, switchgear, control and protection systems, and cable works.
- Ensure construction follows SEC specifications, approved IFC drawings, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, HSE, testing, and commissioning teams.
- Monitor site progress, quality, and productivity against project milestones.
- Prepare site reports, inspection records, and work-completion records.
- Support testing, commissioning, energization, and handover.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum five years of EHV/HV substation project experience; 380kV experience is preferred.
- SEC project experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of substation construction, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Familiarity with SEC standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- SEC/client-approved candidates are preferred; immediate joiners and candidates with transferable iqama are preferred.
