Site Engineer (Electrical Substation) for a 380kV substation project.
Responsible for supervising and coordinating electrical installation activities in line with SEC standards, approved drawings, quality requirements, safety regulations, and project schedules.
Responsibilities
- Supervise installation of GIS equipment, power transformers, switchgear, control and protection systems, and cable works.
- Ensure construction complies with SEC specifications, approved IFC drawings, and project requirements.
- Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, HSE, testing, and commissioning teams; monitor site progress, quality, and productivity.
- Prepare site reports, inspection records, and work-completion records.
- Support testing, commissioning, energization, and handover activities.
Requirements and preferences
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of EHV/HV substation project experience, preferably on 380kV projects.
- Strong knowledge of substation construction, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Familiarity with SEC standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- SEC project experience and SEC/client approval are preferred.
- Immediate joiners and candidates eligible for iqama transfer are preferred.
