Senior Technical Engineer

Role overview

Engineering and construction responsibilities

• Lead technical engineering coordination and review drawings, specifications, design documents, and contract requirements.
• Identify technical conflicts and recommend practical solutions; coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, managers, and site teams.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, technical submissions, and method statements.
• Guide site teams, monitor construction compliance, conduct technical inspections, and support civil infrastructure works.
• Assess construction methods and variations; help improve productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and project delivery.

Quality, planning, and leadership

• Oversee technical reports, inspection requests, inspection and test plans, method statements, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate QA/QC compliance, corrective and preventive actions, technical records, as-built drawings, and handover documentation.
• Monitor technical deliverables and construction progress; support quantity take-offs, material calculations, resource planning, and cost assessments.
• Review procurement requirements and contribute technical input to tenders, proposals, and construction planning.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, project specifications, client requirements, and HSE procedures; guide junior engineers and report risks.

Qualifications and experience

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline is required.
• The posting prefers 7–10 years of relevant construction, civil infrastructure, or contracting experience.
• Experience with roadworks, earthworks, excavation, underground utilities, pipeline works, or related infrastructure projects is specified.
• The employer seeks substantial UAE construction and infrastructure experience and strong technical knowledge.
