Role overview

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor company HSE policies and procedures at project sites.
• Conduct site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments; recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, client safety requirements, and project-specific HSE plans.
• Prepare and monitor risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses, and Method Statements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training.
• Monitor safe work during excavation, earthworks, road construction, lifting, equipment movement, and transportation.
• Inspect machinery, vehicles, tools, and equipment; monitor PPE use.
• Investigate incidents and unsafe acts, prepare reports, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
• Maintain HSE documentation, inspection checklists, incident records, training registers, and safety reports.
• Monitor dust control, waste management, spill prevention, and material handling.
• Coordinate with project teams and client HSE representatives; follow up corrective actions.
• Support emergency preparedness, evacuation arrangements, response activities, and drills; promote hazard reporting and a positive safety culture.

Requirements and qualifications

• Three to five years of relevant HSE experience; sector experience in construction, civil engineering, roadworks, infrastructure, earthworks, or pipelines is preferred.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent recognized HSE qualification is preferred; relevant HSE training or IOSH certification is advantageous.
• Good knowledge of UAE HSE requirements and construction site safety practices.
• Experience with risk assessments, inspections, toolbox talks, incident investigations, and safety audits.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment, excavation, lifting, traffic management, and construction hazards.
• Good written and verbal English; able to prepare reports and maintain safety records.
• Strong observation, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work on site and coordinate with project teams and workers; UAE construction experience is preferred.

Pay

• Pay is listed as AED 1.00 per month.

• Full-time, on-site role in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
