Development and technical delivery
- Design, develop, test and deploy Java-based applications and services.
- Build and maintain backend web services, SOAP/REST APIs, database integrations and microservices.
- Support CI/CD, code reviews, unit testing, bug fixes, code quality and performance improvements.
- Own microservices and integrations, and understand cloud deployment.
- Make architectural decisions, build high-scale services, tune performance and define engineering standards.
Technical leadership
- Lead a developer team by providing technical approaches and guidance and reviewing work.
- Remain hands-on and help with critical production issues and business escalations.
- Be accountable for team deliverables; contribute to enterprise architecture, platform modernization, coaching and engineering roadmaps.
Technology stack
- Languages: Java 11+, JavaScript and TypeScript; frameworks and UI: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Angular, JSP and jQuery.
- Application server: IBM WebSphere Liberty; databases: IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server and MongoDB.
- Cloud: AWS S3 and AWS Lambda; build tools: Maven and npm; version control: Git and Bitbucket; tracking: JIRA.
- Services and practices include SOAP, REST APIs, microservices, CI/CD, unit testing, code reviews and performance tuning.
Qualifications and experience
- B.E./B.Tech qualification.
