Lead System Analyst-Epic Willow Ambulatory

Role overview

Application delivery and support

• Configure, modify, test, and troubleshoot existing programs and software.
• Analyze end-user data and business needs to recommend changes and improve program or system performance.
• Write and maintain application systems documentation.
• Translate business requirements into detailed system specifications and evaluate them against current system capabilities.
• Unit test code and programs before QA release, resolve test issues, and help QA identify test cases and prepare test data.
• Support implementation planning, implementation and production needs, end users, and technical operations staff.
• Assess application dependencies and help resolve issues and drive effective business solutions.
• Provide ongoing operational system support and resolve escalated issues.
• Work with vendors on problem determination, resolution, issue tracking, upgrades, and fixes.
• Participate in after-hours support as determined by IT leadership.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related work experience.
• 3–5 years of IT application experience.
• Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Demonstrated analytical and critical-thinking skills for process development or problem resolution.
• Knowledge of healthcare processes and application system coordination.
• Knowledge of database structure, reporting techniques, and tools.
• Two Application Analysts must have Epic Willow Ambulatory certification.

Preferred qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in an IT field is preferred.
• Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
• Certifications and experience relevant to the role are preferred.

Teamwork and service

• Participate in incident and problem management, IT service requests, change control, and IT project workflows.
• Assist senior development staff with technology integration within and across IT areas.
• Work with application and technical teams, support concurrent work efforts, and educate and coach team members.
• Provide patient-centered services focused on the needs and safety of patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
