Role overview

NIKE is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for a cloud integration and software engineering team.

The team develops cloud-native applications and integration solutions supporting finance and procurement.

The role focuses on scalable services, data platforms, enterprise integrations, and technical leadership.

What you will work on

  • Lead design, development, and maintenance of scalable data platforms and services supporting global transactional flows.
  • Architect SDKs, APIs, and microservices for enterprise-wide data and analytics needs.
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code with required documentation.
  • Drive software development, data governance, and platform observability best practices.
  • Make technical design decisions and establish architectural patterns across the team.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers, business stakeholders, and technical peers.
  • Ensure data quality and reliability through testing and validation.
  • Develop AI and machine learning solutions for specific use cases.
  • Mentor team members, lead code reviews, and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and follow Agile and DevOps practices.

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience with distributed microservice architecture, Domain-Driven Design, and RESTful services.
  • Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Java.
  • Experience delivering API-first microservices at scale.
  • Deep expertise with AWS cloud services.
  • Experience with Apache Spark or Databricks data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in containerized application development and orchestration.
  • Expertise in Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience leading technical design discussions and architecture decisions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Additional technologies

  • Monitoring and tracing tools include Splunk and SignalFx.
  • Development and collaboration tools include GitHub, JIRA, Jenkins, VS Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot.
  • Integration experience with Coupa, Ariba, SAP, Oracle Fusion, Kafka, or NiFi is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts and applications is a plus.
