Role purpose
Handle main-contractor work on site, supervise subcontractor work, and assist the project engineer with specific duties.
Key accountabilities
- Follow safety regulations and assist with their implementation on site.
- Oversee building work and survey sites.
- Solve problems and provide technical advice; check and prepare site reports.
- Liaise with engineers, surveyors, clients, and subcontractors.
- Read, interpret, and follow project drawings, specifications, method statements, procedures, and engineering documentation.
- Administer and enforce HSE and quality policies; report violations and ensure timely resolution.
- Implement the HSE management system in line with HSE procedures.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or another related engineering field.
- At least 5 years of significant industrial, commercial, or residential construction experience.
- Knowledge of civil and structural codes and other project-related codes; strong technical background in an industrial environment.
- Ability to control a multinational workforce in a dynamic situation.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather and site conditions.
