Role purpose
Supervise and lead crews engaged in industrial, commercial, and residential building works.
Leadership and workforce supervision
- Lead and control skilled labour and work crews across project trades.
- Supervise building workers and coordinate related activities with trade foremen.
- Communicate instructions effectively and build working relationships with other department personnel.
Planning, tools, and documentation
- Follow policies, procedures, and work practices; read and interpret method statements, drawings, and project documentation.
- Ensure crews are supplied with tools, equipment, and materials, and prevent wastage or misuse.
HSE, quality, and improvement
- Follow HSE, sustainability, quality, and legal requirements; report incidents and violations promptly.
- Encourage continuous improvement and cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
Qualifications and experience
- Minimum High School Certificate.
- 3–5 years of significant industrial, commercial, or residential construction experience.
- Knowledge of a related trade field; must have successfully become a master tradesman in the related field as necessary.
