Monitor and control project costs for Innovo MEP, tracking expenditure against approved budgets and providing timely reports to support project decisions.
Cost monitoring and reporting
- Track and analyze project costs against approved budgets weekly and monthly.
- Identify cost variances and escalate significant deviations to the Cost Control Team Leader.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, cost-at-completion forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Maintain cost databases and ensure transactions are correctly coded.
Cash flow and budget support
- Prepare project cash flow forecasts, compare actual spending with forecasts, and highlight cash flow risks and funding gaps.
- Assist with project budget setup and cost baseline establishment.
- Coordinate with quantity surveyors, procurement, and finance to ensure cost data accuracy.
Change control and improvement
- Track approved variations, update project cost baselines, and ensure change-order cost impacts are reflected in reports.
- Introduce tools, technologies, and processes that improve efficiency and transparency.
- Encourage innovative thinking to enhance outcomes and reduce costs without compromising quality.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or Quantity Surveying.
- Four to six years of cost control experience in MEP or construction.
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP proficiency is preferred.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
