Responsible for proactively soliciting and managing large group and catering opportunities with significant revenue potential.
The role grows accounts and customer loyalty through service excellence and achieves individual and team revenue goals.
Education and experience
- High school diploma or GED and 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area; alternatively, a related two-year degree with no work experience required.
- Related degree fields include Business Administration, Marketing, or Hotel and Restaurant Management.
Revenue and sales
- Target group and catering accounts, markets, and segments through proactive solicitation.
- Identify, qualify, and solicit new business; develop sales plans and focus on opportunities with significant revenue potential.
- Design and sell catered events, upsell packages and food and beverage, analyze market conditions, and negotiate contracts.
Customer service and relationships
- Build relationships with new and existing customers, community contacts, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Deliver service excellence before and during programs and events to grow account share and customer loyalty.
- Coordinate sales efforts with relevant channels and support staff.
Business coordination
- Conduct site inspections and prepare proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence.
- Coordinate operational aspects and ensure booked business is handed over properly and on time.
