Typical activities
- Analyze and define planning principles; define and validate power system models.
- Improve planning methods for renewable and BESS integration, demand evolution, and transmission investment optimization.
- Use techno-economic models to define critical operating points; conduct steady-state and dynamic stability analyses.
- Evaluate grid reliability and security, including capacity calculation, balancing, and operational planning.
- Write analysis reports and present proposed solutions and development plans to clients.
- Supervise the power system team, manage consultancy projects, and support business development and proposals.
Candidate profile
- Master's degree in Engineering and 10+ years of power system planning experience.
- Experience areas include master planning, transmission investment pre-feasibility, renewable integration, and BESS optimization.
- Expertise translating complex data into strategic insights; mastery of PowerFactory and PSSE.
- Knowledge of power system economics basics; team-player approach and strong oral presentation and client-interaction skills.
- Fluent English required; Arabic knowledge is a strong asset.

- The position is based in Riyadh and requires approximately 20% mobility, mainly in the Middle East, with international travel depending on project and business-development needs.
