Role overview
Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of utility Energy Management System (EMS) and Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) implementation programs.
Act as the accountable integrator across the utility control center and field environments, coordinating engineering, IT/OT, vendors, and internal departments.
Program governance and delivery
- Plan and schedule parallel EMS and ADMS implementation streams; establish charters, governance, risk plans, and milestone tracking.
- Ensure delivery is on time, within budget, and within scope.
- Coordinate vendors and interfaces including SCADA, DERMS, cybersecurity teams, substations, and system operators.
- Align transmission, distribution, IT/OT, and operations stakeholders with implementation teams.
Technical oversight and change
- Support integration of EMS and ADMS with SCADA, OMS, DERMS, and planning tools; oversee model management and legacy-system data migration.
- Monitor FAT/SAT, cutover plans, and operational readiness; oversee quality, documentation, cybersecurity integration, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop change management, provide program reporting and stakeholder workshops, and oversee training, knowledge transfer, and post-implementation support.
Candidate profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a relevant technical field.
- 15+ years managing large-scale utility modernization programs; strong knowledge of grid operations, system modelling, real-time applications, and utility business processes.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred; Agile/SAFe knowledge is a plus.
