Typical Activities
- Analyze and define planning principles; define and validate power system models.
- Improve planning methods for renewable and BESS integration, demand evolution, and transmission investment optimization.
- Link technical and economic models to define critical operating points.
- Perform steady-state analysis such as load flow, short-circuit calculations, and hosting-capacity assessment.
- Perform dynamic frequency, transient, and voltage stability analysis.
- Support grid reliability and security analysis, including capacity calculation, balancing, and operational planning.
- Write reports presenting analysis results.
- Support business development through opportunity identification, client relationships, and proposal development.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree in Engineering.
- At least 3 years of power system planning experience, including master planning, transmission investment pre-feasibility, renewable integration, or BESS optimization.
- Proficiency with PowerFactory and PSSE simulation tools.
- Team player with good oral presentation skills.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a strong asset.
