Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update Level 3/Level 4 construction schedules using Primavera P6.
- Collect weekly progress data from subcontractors and trades; generate weekly and monthly progress reports and S-curves.
- Generate three-week and three-month lookahead schedules, identify major issues, and escalate them to Planning Managers.
- Draft and contribute progress templates for internal teams and subcontractors.
- Perform other project-control tasks as instructed by managers.
Basic requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a closely related field.
- At least 8 years of progressive planning and scheduling experience, including at least 3 years on large-scale infrastructure or aviation projects.
- Native or fluent English, with strong written and verbal communication for executive-level reporting and stakeholder negotiation.
Professional competencies
- Expert ability to build, validate, and maintain complex Level 3/4 Primavera P6 schedules.
- Understand approved baselines versus working schedules; document major changes and prepare baseline-revision narratives.
- Map logical links and handover milestones across heavy civil, structural steel, MEP, and Design+Build subcontractors.
- Validate reported progress against physical reality and schedule logic; produce S-curves, SPI/CPI metrics, and progress reports.
- Coordinate timely, accurate data collection from internal teams and external Design+Build subcontractors.
Tools and certifications
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Office Suite, and data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- PMP or PMI-SP certification is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with 4D scheduling tools such as Synchro Pro or Navisworks is a strong advantage.
Additional experience
- At least 5 years managing schedules for projects valued at $100 million USD or above.
- Experience integrating Design+Build packages with fixed procurement and design lead times into a master baseline.
- Prior exposure to claims, delay analysis, and Extension of Time processes is noted.
- Experience in a Joint Venture environment managing priorities across organizations is noted.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 25,000 to AED 30,000 per month; final salary depends on relevant experience and competencies.
