Responsibilities
- Review IFC design drawings and models and report inconsistencies or clashes.
- Meet daily with construction subcontractors to confirm shop-drawing information against construction techniques and site requirements.
- Coordinate with the project consultant and ensure shop-drawing details are agreed with the PMC before submission.
- Maintain weekly and monthly shop-drawing submission plans aligned with subcontractor construction programmes.
- Communicate and explain PMC comments to shop-drawing and BIM modelling teams.
- Review and check outputs from shop-drawing and BIM modelling teams.
- Resolve technical issues related to shop drawings.
- Provide technical support to the Design team and assist the Chief Engineer with day-to-day management.
Qualifications
- At least five years of relevant building structural engineering experience, including structural design, analysis, and construction supervision.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of building structural systems, including reinforced concrete, steel structures, foundations, beams, columns, slabs, and load-bearing systems.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design under relevant codes, standards, and local authority requirements.
- Experience reviewing structural drawings, specifications, design calculations, and construction documents.
- Ability to coordinate with project stakeholders and resolve structural issues.
- Familiarity with ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD.
- Experience in site inspections, progress monitoring, quality control, and resolving construction technical issues.
- Ability to identify design discrepancies and risks and propose practical, cost-effective solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills; able to work independently and meet deadlines.
- English and Chinese proficiency is an advantage.
Pay
- Pay is AED 15,000 per month.
