HSSE Manager – Night Shift

Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise HSSE arrangements during the night shift across the assigned project or package.
- Ensure implementation of project HSSE plans, risk assessments, method statements, PTW requirements, and applicable client and authority standards.
- Conduct inspections, audits, and management walkabouts; identify unsafe conditions and ensure findings are closed out promptly.
- Verify HSSE staffing, work-zone controls, lighting, access and egress, traffic management, lifting controls, and emergency readiness.
- Review high-risk activities and confirm toolbox talks, task briefings, and competent supervision are in place before work starts.
- Lead incident and near-miss reporting, investigation, corrective actions, and lessons learned; escalate serious risks promptly.
- Coordinate with construction teams, subcontractors, client representatives, and emergency response personnel.
- Prepare shift HSSE reports, statistics, and handover records, and stop unsafe work when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Engineering, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Minimum 8–10 years of construction HSSE experience, including supervisory or managerial duties.
- Knowledge of relevant UAE HSSE legislation, client requirements, risk assessment, incident investigation, and emergency management.
- Available to work night shifts.
- Strong leadership, reporting, communication, and subcontractor coordination skills.
Preferred qualifications and experience
- NEBOSH International Diploma or equivalent professional HSSE qualification is preferred.
- Airport or major infrastructure experience is preferred.
- A valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
Pay
- The description lists pay as AED 1.00 per month.
