Role overview

Location and work setting

• The role is located in DIFC, Dubai.
• The work includes site inspections of fit-out projects.

Inspection and coordination duties

• Inspect MEP fit-out works for compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and fit-out guidelines.
• Inspect mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire-protection systems on site.
• Verify work against DCD, DEWA, Civil Defence, and other applicable local authority requirements.
• Review contractor method statements, shop drawings, material approvals, and technical proposals.
• Coordinate with tenants, consultants, contractors, facilities management teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and site issues.
• Witness testing and commissioning and verify satisfactory completion.
• Monitor progress and report inspection status, non-compliances, and critical technical issues.
• Conduct final inspections, snagging, and de-snagging, and support handover.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Review as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and close-out documentation.
• Support the Fit-Out Manager in maintaining service levels and departmental objectives.
• Mentor junior inspectors and technical staff when required.

Candidate profile

• Strong hands-on experience in MEP fit-out inspections and tenant fit-out projects is sought.
• Relevant experience includes mechanical and electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, testing and commissioning, and contractor-submission reviews.
• The role calls for knowledge of authority and regulatory requirements, including DEWA, DCD, and Civil Defence requirements.
• Experience with snagging, de-snagging, as-built drawings, O&M documentation, HSE/QHSE compliance, coordination, and project close-out is relevant.
• Experience in commercial buildings, mixed-use developments, retail/F&B, high-rise properties, or facilities management environments is highly relevant.
