Senior Software Engineer - Java responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Java applications and collaborating with developers on software solutions.
The posting includes a salary line of “20 K AED” without a pay cadence and a notice-period note of 30 days.
Duties and responsibilities
- Collaborate with development, product, and cross-functional teams to ideate software solutions and deliver features; align technical requirements with clients and service providers.
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance back-end systems; develop and manage databases and applications, and build APIs.
- Create security and data-protection settings; write clean, maintainable code and technical documentation.
- Test software for responsiveness and efficiency, debug and fix issues, and keep up with tools and technologies to improve back-end systems.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field and 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong grounding in algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, design patterns, software architecture, database design, and UML.
- Experience with Java Spring Boot, Oracle databases, SOAP and REST services, and API security including JWT, Spring Security, and OAuth2.
- Experience with Oracle WebLogic or Apache Tomcat; SOA and microservices knowledge; Git, BitBucket, Linux, and Agile or Scrum understanding.
- RSA/AES data security knowledge is a plus. Oracle Fusion Middleware experience, including OSB, Oracle BPM, or Oracle UCM, is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
