Responsibilities
- Lead RCC and steel building design from concept to detailed design; develop concept, schematic, and detailed solutions.
- Perform analysis and modeling using ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000; Revit working knowledge is noted for BIM modeling and coordination.
- Prepare and review calculations, reports, and technical documentation; ensure compliance with ACI, BS, and local authority regulations.
- Design foundations, slabs, beams, columns, and lateral load systems; analyze seismic and wind loading, lateral stability, drift, and vibration.
- Optimize design for safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness and coordinate with architectural and MEP teams.
- Review shop drawings and technical submissions for design compliance where expected; support coordination and authority submissions.
- Lead, review, and guide junior engineers' design work.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of structural design consultancy experience; the description states 10–15 years.
- Mandatory design consultancy background and proven school or educational facility design experience.
- Proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000; working knowledge of Revit is mentioned in responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of ACI, BS, and international design standards; experience with the full concept-to-IFC design cycle.
- Strong expertise in complex building structures; large-scale project experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and lead design packages.
