Senior Java Software Engineer role based in Sharjah, UAE.

The employer seeks an experienced engineer with expertise in Java development, Spring Boot, Oracle databases, web services, API security, and enterprise application architecture.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum five years of software engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, OOP, design patterns, software architecture, database design, and UML.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle databases.
- Experience developing and consuming SOAP and REST web services.
- Strong understanding of API security, including JWT, Spring Security, and OAuth2.
- Experience with Oracle WebLogic and Apache Tomcat application servers.
- Good knowledge of SOA and microservices architecture.
- Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Linux systems, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of encryption and decryption algorithms, including RSA and AES, is preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies such as OSB, Oracle BPM, and Oracle UCM is preferred.
Work mode
- On-site work in Sharjah, UAE.
Responsibilities
- Develop software using Java and Spring Boot for enterprise applications.
- Develop and consume SOAP and REST web services.
- Work with Oracle databases and database design.
- Apply API security practices, including JWT, Spring Security, and OAuth2.
- Work with Oracle WebLogic and Apache Tomcat application servers.
- Contribute to SOA and microservices-based application architecture.
- Use Git, Bitbucket, Linux systems, and Agile/Scrum practices in software engineering work.
- Solve problems and debug software.
- Collaborate and communicate with teammates, applying leadership skills as needed.
