IT Strategy and Planning Manager role in a banking environment, based in Sharjah.
The manager will drive IT strategic planning, governance, performance management, and technology transformation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead development, execution, and periodic review of IT strategy, aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Develop multi-year IT roadmaps and annual strategic plans from business priorities.
- Establish and monitor strategic KPIs, performance dashboards, and execution frameworks; track milestones, risks, dependencies, and benefits.
- Prepare executive reports and updates; collaborate with business units, IT teams, Enterprise PMO, and stakeholders on alignment and portfolio governance.
- Evaluate AI, Cloud, Automation, and Data Analytics technologies and support Core Banking Modernization, Cloud Adoption, AI initiatives, and TCoE.
- Ensure governance and regulatory compliance; facilitate strategy workshops, governance meetings, and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- 8–12 years of experience in IT strategy, governance, digital transformation, or technology planning.
- At least five years of managerial experience.
- Banking or financial-services experience is preferred.
- Experience working with senior leadership and governance committees.
Required knowledge
- Strong knowledge of IT strategic planning and roadmapping, IT governance and portfolio management, and technology transformation programs.
- Strong knowledge of KPI management, performance reporting, executive reporting, and stakeholder management.
