Senior Java Automation Test Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable Java test automation frameworks.
• Build robust automation solutions using Selenium and lead scalable, maintainable, reusable framework architecture.
• Implement parallel execution and optimize execution time across browsers and platforms.
• Develop reusable libraries, utilities, and framework extensions.
• Design and implement REST and SOAP API automation; handle session management and API integration testing.
• Validate XML and JSON payloads through serialization and deserialization.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce clean coding standards.
• Establish coding standards, branching strategies, and version-control best practices.
• Integrate automation suites with Jenkins and GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Publish automation reports and dashboards for stakeholders.

Requirements

• 6 to 9 years of IT experience focused on test automation.
• Expertise in Java and object-oriented principles: classes, objects, inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, and abstraction.
• Proficiency in Selenium and REST and SOAP API automation.
• Knowledge of Basic Authentication, Bearer Tokens, OAuth, and NTLM.
• Familiarity with Singleton, Factory, Decorator, Page Object Model, and Page Factory design patterns.
• Skills with Jenkins and GitHub Actions CI/CD tools.
• Understanding of static code analysis and quality gates.
• Background generating and using embeddings for semantic search applications; understanding of similarity search and retrieval mechanisms.

Nice to have

• Understanding of Transformer architecture.
• Familiarity with attention mechanisms and Transformer-based model architectures.
