Role overview

Architecture responsibilities

• Lead architecture for product data, merchandising, and digital commerce; contribute to target-state lifecycle architecture.
• Design vendor onboarding and data exchange; define product-data taxonomy, classification, attributes, quality, stewardship, and approval governance.
• Design content authoring, digital asset management, and distribution workflows, including imagery, video, rich media, and multilingual content.
• Oversee integrations across PIM, e-commerce, ERP, store systems, and enterprise applications.
• Identify AI and generative AI uses for product content, translation, classification, image tagging, attribute extraction, and data quality.
• Support legacy migration, coexistence, data migration, cutover, and decommissioning; review architecture and recommend improvements.
• Design Azure APIs, event-driven integrations, data platforms, services, interfaces, and batch or near-real-time processing.
• Integrate SaaS with hybrid and on-premises systems, considering scalability, reliability, observability, and peak retail performance.
• Create architecture deliverables, participate in governance, provide technical leadership and mentorship, and guide implementation and go-live.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of technology experience, including 5 or more years in solution architecture.
• Enterprise-scale delivery experience in Retail, E-Commerce, Grocery, CPG, Distribution, or a similar consumer-focused industry.
• Strong understanding of the product data lifecycle from product creation and enrichment through governance, syndication, and publishing.
• Hands-on architecture with PIM, Product Content Management, or Enterprise Commerce platforms and upstream product-data integrations.
• Strong integration architecture experience across API-first, event-driven, batch, and file-based patterns.
• Cloud-native Microsoft Azure solution experience or equivalent experience on another major cloud platform.
