Senior Electrical Engineer

Role Overview

Fit-Out and Project Coordination

• Manage tenant, event, and DIFC project fit-out requests received through the portal or email.
• Ensure projects meet agreed timelines and quality standards; review electrical drawings and clarify technical comments with contractors.
• Monitor authority design and inspection approvals throughout each project.
• Coordinate with mechanical and civil teams so power requirements and outlet locations match equipment schedules, retail/F&B needs, furniture layouts, and interior design.

Power and Site Inspections

• Assess electrical power upgrade feasibility based on tenant requirements, available capacity, and site conditions.
• Coordinate power shutdowns and panel modifications with facilities management and notify affected tenants.
• Visit sites, guide inspectors and contractors, identify technical issues, and recommend corrective measures.
• Witness Megger/insulation resistance and live electrical tests; perform first-fix inspections and provide feedback before ceiling closure.
• Conduct final inspections and verify electrical services before approval.

Testing, Approvals, and Safety

• Coordinate with base-build, FLS, and ELV contractors; verify works against authority-approved drawings.
• Witness and verify testing and commissioning, including life safety systems.
• Schedule inspections and complete first and final inspection checklists through the project portal.
• Escalate non-standard technical issues and notify QHSE when unsafe work or practices are identified.

Candidate Profile

• Strong hands-on experience in electrical engineering and building services, MEP and fit-out projects, power distribution, load assessment, and power upgrades.
• Experience with panel modifications, power shutdown coordination, Megger testing, testing and commissioning, and first-fix and final inspections.
• Experience with FLS and life safety systems, ELV coordination, authority drawing review and approvals, contractor and facilities management coordination, and QHSE/site safety compliance.
• Commercial buildings, high-rise, retail/F&B fit-out, mixed-use property, or facilities management experience is highly relevant.
