Role Overview

DevOps Responsibilities

• Build the next-generation CI/CD platform and guide pipeline development.
• Develop and maintain configuration templates from development through production.
• Contribute to Kubernetes deployment systems for on-premises and public cloud environments.
• Automate deployments of modules, upgrades, and fixes using production-like environments.
• Set up containerized environments for unit, manual, and automated testing.
• Monitor system and application health and performance metrics.

Documentation and Collaboration

• Translate internal customer needs into requirements and designs.
• Create knowledge-sharing presentations and documentation for development and operations teams.
• Document on-premises and cloud deployments with playbooks and architecture diagrams.
• Own knowledge transfer to development, QA, professional services, and operations teams.
• Mentor team members and provide hands-on technical leadership.

Operations

• Make mitigation decisions during critical downtime situations when escalation is impractical.
• Improve operational processes and utilization of underlying cloud resources.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in BE, BTech, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of system design, tools development, and technical DevOps implementation experience.
• Strong infrastructure automation, cloud, and Linux experience.
• Experience with Terraform or CDK, Python, Shell, and Groovy.
• AWS or Azure certification is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• CI/CD tools include Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline, SonarQube, Nexus, and Atlassian tools.
• Cloud technologies include AWS, Azure, VMware, API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, EKS, and AKS.
• Deployment technologies include Kubernetes, Rancher, Helm, and microservices CI/CD.
• Server maintenance includes backup and restore processes.
