Role overview

Month-end close and reporting

• Execute month-end close to a strict calendar, targeting WD+7 and progressing to WD+5.
• Prepare and post accruals, prepayments, provisions, reallocations, and correcting entries.
• Code accurately by outlet, cost center, and project for management reporting.

Reconciliations and audit readiness

• Own key balance sheet reconciliations and evidence-backed supporting schedules for bank, loans, AP/GRNI, suppliers, inventory, advances, deposits, accruals, intercompany transfers, and fixed assets.
• Maintain timely, complete, review-ready reconciliation packs and depreciation schedules.
• Provide audit PBC schedules and documentation, resolve queries, and track issues to closure.

Operations, automation, and controls

• Support inventory valuation, stock movements, transfers, and cut-offs across CPU, roastery, and outlet operations.
• Work with cost control and operations to improve COGS accuracy, standard costing inputs, and waste/yield considerations.
• Build or maintain Power BI dashboards; use Power Query and Power Automate/Power Apps and/or RPA to streamline finance processes.
• Enforce documentation, cut-offs, PO/GRN discipline, approvals, and evidence; coordinate across procurement, operations, and outlets.

Mandatory requirements

• Practical hands-on Zoho Books and Sufi experience is mandatory.
• Knowledge of UAE E-Invoicing requirements is mandatory.
• At least 2–3 years of UAE accounting experience; strong knowledge of UAE VAT and FTA requirements and knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax.
• Strong bookkeeping, GL, AP, AR, and reconciliation knowledge; ability to independently prepare profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Good Microsoft Excel skills, accuracy, attention to detail, independence, and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce is preferred.
• Inventory or trading company experience is preferred; retail, wholesale, food supplements, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG experience is advantageous.
• ACCA, CMA, CA, or a similar professional qualification is advantageous.

Workplace

• Work location is in person; the posting identifies Al-Ayn and notes commuting or relocating there as preferred.
