Security Officer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Protect construction sites, company assets, equipment, tools, and materials.
• Control entry and exit for employees, workers, visitors, vehicles, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Supervise security guards and helpers; prepare rosters, shift arrangements, patrol schedules, and deployment plans.
• Conduct site inspections and patrols to identify risks, unauthorized access, missing materials, unsafe practices, and suspicious activities.
• Control movement of materials, tools, equipment, machinery, and company assets into and out of sites.
• Implement procedures to prevent theft, loss, unauthorized removal, damage, and misuse of company property.
• Maintain security logs, visitor and vehicle records, material movement records, incident reports, and daily reports.
• Investigate and report security incidents and violations; take immediate action and escalate serious matters.
• Develop preventive security strategies and recommend improvements based on site risks and previous incidents.
• Coordinate with Site Management, Project Management, HR, Store, HSE, and other departments.
• Keep security personnel alert, disciplined, properly deployed, and compliant with company procedures; ensure shift handover and continuous coverage.
• Monitor high-risk areas, brief security personnel, support investigations, and liaise with authorities or emergency services when directed.

Required Experience and Skills

• 3–5 years of relevant security experience.
• Proven construction-site security and asset-protection experience.
• Experience supervising security guards or helpers and multiple security points.
• Understanding of access control, patrol management, material movement control, and theft prevention.
• Ability to handle incidents, investigate irregularities, take corrective action, and implement preventive strategies.
• Strong observation, communication, reporting, and leadership skills.
• Physically active, alert, disciplined, and able to work in a demanding construction-site environment.
• Confident dealing with workers, subcontractors, visitors, suppliers, and site management; able to handle sensitive matters confidentially.
• UAE construction or site security experience is highly preferred.

Salary

• The description lists AED 3,500–4,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.
• A separate pay line lists AED 2,000–4,000 per month, creating conflicting compensation figures.
