Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead Scrum teams in adopting Agile methods and facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
• Coach teams to improve Agile maturity, collaboration, and self-organization; support the Product Owner with backlog management and prioritization.
• Identify and remove impediments, improve Agile processes, and resolve conflicts and delivery issues.
• Support customer and business objectives; plan larger projects, track delivery criteria, and allocate activities and resources.
• Collaborate across IT, business, marketing, customer service, and other stakeholder groups.
• Maintain Jira boards and project tracking and ensure user stories are ready for sprint planning.

Required skills and experience

• Hands-on Scrum Master or Agile Delivery Lead experience and strong Scrum/Agile knowledge.
• Experience facilitating ceremonies, coaching teams, working across functions, and engaging multiple business stakeholders.
• Strong SDLC knowledge and experience with modern software development practices.
• Strong Jira and Confluence experience and ability to identify and remove impediments.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Financial services or banking experience is described as required or strongly preferred; the wording is ambiguous.

Additional qualifications

• Financial services digital transformation experience is cited.
• Web and mobile application knowledge is advantageous; CRM and cloud exposure are advantages; regulatory knowledge is desirable.
• A related bachelor's degree is preferred. PSM and SSM certifications are each labeled required/preferred, so mandatory status is unclear.

Deliverables and working approach

• Maintain accurate Jira sprint and Agile boards, refined backlogs, and user stories ready for sprint planning.
• Facilitate effective Scrum ceremonies and improve team Agile maturity and self-organization.
• Track and resolve impediments and provide clear progress, risk, dependency, and delivery tracking.
• Promote collaboration between Product Owners, development teams, business stakeholders, and project teams.
• The role calls for collaboration, conflict resolution, coaching without direct authority, organization, and comfort in a fast-paced environment.
