Role overview
The Sales Compliance Officer ensures sales activities, processes, documentation, and customer interactions comply with internal policies, regulatory standards, and ethical business practices.
The role works with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Management to mitigate risks and maintain transparency and compliance across the sales function.
Compliance monitoring and enforcement
- Review transactions, contracts, and customer interactions for compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify non-compliant activities, report risks, recommend corrective actions, and audit sales activities, documentation, pricing, and approvals.
Policies, training, and risk
- Assist in creating, updating, and enforcing sales compliance policies, procedures, and SOPs.
- Help employees understand compliance guidelines and support implementation of frameworks, tools, and processes.
- Deliver training on ethical selling, documentation standards, and regulatory obligations; answer questions and promote integrity.
- Analyze sales processes for compliance risks and vulnerabilities and collaborate on preventive and corrective measures.
Reporting and collaboration
- Prepare management reports and maintain evidence of compliance reviews, audits, and risk assessments.
- Track compliance issues and follow up on action plans for timely resolution.
- Work with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Internal Audit; participate in product or service rollouts and assist with investigations into complaints or suspected sales misconduct.
Qualifications
- Automotive compliance experience is required.
- Candidates should be process-oriented and detail-oriented.
