The Safety Officer implements, monitors, and enforces HSE standards at construction and industrial project sites.
The role supports compliance with UAE laws, company policies, and international safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and site safety rules.
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Prepare and conduct Toolbox Talks, safety inductions, and training sessions.
- Monitor proper PPE use by workers and staff.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and corrective actions.
- Maintain safety records, permits, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Coordinate safety matters with project managers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure safety signage, barricading, fire protection, and emergency equipment are in place.
- Participate in authority and client safety audits and inspections.
- Promote safety awareness and safe work practices on site.
Qualifications and requirements
- Diploma or degree in safety, engineering, or a related field.
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA certification is mandatory.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in industrial or construction projects.
- Good knowledge of scaffolding, lifting operations, work at height, and confined spaces.
- Strong communication and reporting skills; ability to work under site conditions.
Reporting line
Reports to the Project Manager or HSE Manager.
Pay
- AED 1,800–2,000 per month.

- Full-time position.
Work location
- In-person work at project sites.
