Civil Site Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and execute civil works for cement plants, manufacturing plants, factories, and industrial projects.
• Manage earthworks, excavation, foundations, RCC structures, industrial buildings, equipment and machine foundations, roads, drainage, and infrastructure.
• Review IFC and structural drawings, specifications, BOQ, method statements, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural steel, electrical, piping, consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
• Check setting-out, levels, dimensions, reinforcement, formwork, concreting, and finishing works.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, monitor the schedule, and plan manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Conduct inspections and follow up RFI, WIR/IR, material inspections, and technical queries.
• Monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, and quality; implement QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Identify and coordinate solutions to site issues, construction conflicts, and delays.
• Support quantity verification, progress measurement, variation works, and billing; deliver within quality, cost, and schedule requirements.

Candidate requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
• At least five years of relevant civil construction experience; the source labels this experience as preferred.
• Strong experience in industrial projects such as cement plants, manufacturing or process plants, factories, or similar heavy industrial facilities.
• UAE/GCC industrial construction experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of RCC structures, equipment foundations, industrial flooring, structural interfaces, infrastructure, and finishing works.
• Ability to read and interpret civil/structural drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office, and project/site documentation.
• Strong site coordination, manpower management, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to work in a multidisciplinary industrial construction environment.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 2,500–3,250 per month.
