Develop and maintain products by preparing, testing, and evaluating coatings, binders, and raw materials.
Support R&D strategy and strengthen technical competence through data-driven development and knowledge transfer.
Responsibilities
- Own assigned products, assets, projects, tasks, and global transfers from planning and formulation through testing, validation, and documentation.
- Independently execute projects and coordinate larger tasks to meet timelines and quality targets, providing data-based technical recommendations.
- Support compliance with international performance and certification requirements through test planning, execution, and interpretation.
- Contribute to global and regional innovation projects, with a focus on sustainability-driven development.
- Coach junior chemists and technicians and support knowledge transfer and competence building.
- Follow HSEQ requirements and governance for raw materials, formulations, and test-result documentation.
What we are looking for
- Master’s degree plus at least 10 years of relevant experience, bachelor’s degree plus at least 12 years, or PhD plus at least 5 years.
- Strong protective coatings formulation knowledge, including binder systems and curing chemistries.
- Experience with performance validation, such as weathering, corrosion, and accelerated testing, and knowledge of international test methods and standards.
- Ability to manage tasks and projects independently with strong structure and follow-up.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
