Role responsibilities
- Perform mechanical, metallurgical, and chemical laboratory testing and prepare test reports.
- Plan work and coordinate activities with customers, third-party inspection agencies, and internal departments.
- Review QAP, Manufacturing Procedure (MPP), Material Stamping & Testing Procedure (MSTP), SOPs, and heat-treatment charts.
- Handle machine-shop and heat-treatment activities, including furnace operation.
- Handle calibration activities in coordination with external agencies.
Knowledge and experience
- Strong knowledge of laboratory mechanical, metallurgical, and chemical testing.
- Knowledge of national and international testing standards: ASTM, ASME, DIN, ISO, and IS.
- Knowledge of QAP, MPP, MSTP, SOPs, and heat-treatment chart review.
- Sound knowledge and experience in machining, heat treatment, machine-shop activities, and furnace operation.
- Knowledge and experience handling calibration activities with external agencies.
