Performs QA/QC activities for a Saudi Aramco project, covering procurement, vendor inspection, yard coordination, and coordination with inspection agencies and the client.
Carries out project quality activities in line with client requirements and L&T's Quality Management System.
Project quality responsibilities
- Implement and monitor QA/QC requirements across project execution and applicable project specifications, client requirements, company standards, and international codes.
- Develop and maintain project quality plans, inspection and test plans, procedures, checklists, method statements, records, NCR registers, and CAPA reports.
- Inspect and surveil fabrication, construction, assembly, welding, coating, mechanical completion, and testing activities.
- Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and acceptance criteria; participate in material, dimensional, welding, and visual inspections.
- Coordinate NCR closure, root cause analysis, corrective-action effectiveness reviews, quality KPIs, and reporting.
- Support internal, client, and third-party audits, punch-point management, and project handover.
- Maintain traceability; support quality improvement, lessons learned, and vendor and subcontractor evaluations.
Quality documentation and coordination
- Review vendor inspection and test plans, welding procedures and qualification records, non-destructive testing procedures and reports, and surface preparation and coating procedures.
- Review factory acceptance test procedures, pneumatic testing procedures, inspection reports, and release notes.
- Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies, clients, the yard, SCM, and PMT; attend pre-inspection and weekly quality review meetings.
- Coordinate inward material inspection reports and Goods Receipt Note clearance.
