QA/QC Engineer - Landscape

Role overview

Landscape and irrigation inspections

• Implement and maintain the project QA/QC plan for landscaping and irrigation works.
• Inspect softscape, hardscape, irrigation, drainage, and external works for compliance with drawings, specifications, method statements, and quality requirements.
• Inspect soil preparation, topsoil placement, planting, turfing, trees, shrubs, and flower beds.
• Inspect paving, kerbs, interlock, retaining walls, stonework, and outdoor structures.
• Verify irrigation pipelines, valves, sprinkler systems, drip irrigation, pumps, and associated components.

Quality control and coordination

• Review material submittals, technical specifications, test certificates, and inspection requests.
• Prepare and review ITPs, checklists, method statements, and quality procedures.
• Coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants, clients, site engineers, subcontractors, and project managers.
• Raise, monitor, and close NCRs, site observations, and corrective or preventive action requests.
• Ensure testing of materials, soil, irrigation systems, and completed landscape works follows project specifications.

Records, audits, and compliance

• Maintain quality records, inspection reports, test reports, and project quality documentation.
• Monitor corrective actions and ensure quality issues are resolved within the required timeframe.
• Support internal and external quality audits and assist with project handover documentation.
• Ensure landscape works comply with applicable UAE regulations, project requirements, and approved quality standards.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Landscape Engineering, Horticulture, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of QA/QC experience; experience with a landscape construction contractor is preferred.
• Practical landscape construction experience covering softscape, hardscape, irrigation, and external works.
• Experience preparing ITPs, inspection checklists, method statements, NCRs, and quality reports.
• Familiarity with consultant inspections, material approvals, testing procedures, and project handover requirements.
• UAE landscaping project experience is highly preferred; ISO 9001 knowledge is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
