Project Engineer - Landscape

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day landscape construction and manage softscape planting, turfing, and lawn installation.
• Oversee hardscape elements such as paving, kerbs, walkways, and edging.
• Coordinate irrigation installation and testing, including pipelines, valves, sprinklers, drip systems, and controllers.
• Review drawings, layouts, BOQs, specifications, and method statements; coordinate technical matters with project stakeholders.
• Monitor schedules, site resources, manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and project milestones.
• Coordinate plant procurement and delivery, planting, transplantation, soil preparation, and establishment.
• Monitor irrigation performance, drainage, soil conditions, and plant health.
• Conduct inspections, coordinate QA/QC, and follow up submittals, shop drawings, inspection requests, and approvals.
• Ensure HSE compliance and maintain daily site reports, progress records, material tracking, and project documentation.
• Support testing, commissioning, snagging, rectification, and handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Landscape Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5–8 years of relevant landscape construction and project execution experience is mandatory.
• Strong hands-on experience in softscape, hardscape, and irrigation works.
• Understanding of landscape drawings, irrigation layouts, BOQs, specifications, and construction methods.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams; able to monitor progress, manage resources, and resolve execution issues.
• Knowledge of plant species, soil preparation, planting methods, and irrigation systems suited to UAE climatic conditions.
• Good communication, coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• UAE landscaping project experience is preferred.
