Landscape Engineer (Construction)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise landscape construction and maintenance across multiple sites; manage softscape, hardscape, and irrigation execution.
• Monitor daily site activities, progress, productivity, and quality; set manpower allocations and daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
• Conduct site visits and ensure work meets contract requirements; coordinate client complaints, rectification, and technical requirements.
• Review landscape and irrigation drawings and specifications; ensure irrigation installation follows approved designs.
• Guide plant selection, soil, plant nutrition, irrigation, and landscape techniques; monitor plant health and pest and disease control under UAE regulations.
• Assist with BOQs, procurement, and quantity requirements; ensure machinery, equipment, and materials are available and maintained.
• Manage site manpower, attendance, timesheets, and employee-related matters.
• Ensure HSE compliance, including accident and near-miss reporting; coordinate operational teams and provide hands-on technical support.
• Maintain client relationships and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agriculture, or a landscape-related field.
• Minimum 3 years of landscape construction experience, mainly construction rather than maintenance.
• Strong hands-on landscape construction experience and experience with irrigation systems and installation.
• Knowledge of softscape, hardscape, planting, soil, and plant maintenance.
• Ability to interpret landscape and irrigation drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing site manpower and coordinating landscape teams.
• Knowledge of BOQs, materials, and site requirements.
• Good communication, leadership, and client-management skills; proficiency in MS Office.
• UAE driving license is mandatory.
