Key responsibilities
- Manage purchasing requirements across Food & Beverage, Rooms, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other hotel departments.
- Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate with suppliers, and recommend suitable options.
- Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders or local purchase orders under approved procedures.
- Source reliable, competitive suppliers and maintain approved supplier relationships.
- Ensure procurement is timely and meets required quality, specifications, quantities, and pricing.
- Coordinate with Stores, Finance, and operational departments.
- Monitor supplier performance, deliveries, pricing, and service quality.
- Maintain supplier, quotation, contract, and purchasing records.
- Support contract renewals, cost-saving opportunities, order follow-up, and resolution of supplier or delivery issues.
- Comply with procurement policies and approval procedures; prepare reports and support management.
Desired qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience.
- Knowledge of purchasing procedures, supply-chain operations, supplier contracts, commercial terms, and payment conditions.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or Tally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Familiarity with import procedures and Incoterms is an advantage.
- CIPS, CPSM, or CPP certification is beneficial.
