Responsibilities
- Prepare specialty coffees, teas, and signature beverages; demonstrate espresso, milk texturing, latte art, and alternative brewing expertise.
- Recognize member preferences and recommend beverages; support seasonal drinks and new coffee offerings.
- Calibrate equipment, standardize recipes, and check products to maintain coffee quality.
- Keep stations and equipment clean and ready; monitor inventory, freshness, rotation, and wastage.
- Coordinate with the Food & Beverage team for daily service and Club events; follow food safety, hygiene, equipment maintenance, and service standards.
Requirements and preferred qualifications
- 2–3 years of professional barista experience; experience in specialty coffee establishments, premium cafés, or private members clubs is preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of coffee origins, flavour profiles, espresso extraction, brewing, and milk preparation.
- Proficiency with commercial espresso machines, grinders, and specialty brewing equipment.
- Polished member service, interpersonal skills, creativity, and precision in preparation and presentation.
- Ability to maintain quality and efficiency during busy periods; passion for coffee innovation and continuous learning.
- Professional barista certification or a relevant specialty coffee or Food & Beverage qualification is preferred.
