Role Description
The Project Quantity Surveyor is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.
This position is responsible for preparing and reviewing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), monitoring project costs, and supporting cost planning from pre-contract to post-contract stages.
Day-to-day tasks include evaluating contractor and supplier quotations, preparing interim valuations, tracking variations, and producing accurate cost reports for project stakeholders.
The role also involves coordinating with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure cost efficiency, adherence to contractual requirements, and alignment with project budgets and timelines.
The Project Quantity Surveyor will contribute to risk identification, value engineering, and continuous improvement of cost management practices across projects.
Qualifications
- Strong cost control and cost management skills, with experience in monitoring budgets and managing project expenditures.
- With 3 yrs relevant experience in the field
- Proficiency in BOQ preparation, measurement, and quantification for structural and refurbishment works.
- Experience in cost planning and forecasting throughout project life cycles.
- Ability to prepare clear and accurate cost reporting and financial summaries for management and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience in building or infrastructure projects, preferably with government or institutional clients.
- Knowledge of standard forms of contracts and procurement methods used in the construction industry.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in relevant QS and cost management software, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary site teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
- Currently based in UAE
- With valid driving License
- Able to attend personal interview in Abu Dhabi
