Role Description

The Construction Draftsman is a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi.

The individual will be responsible for preparing detailed architectural and structural drawings, plans, and layouts in coordination with project engineers and architects.

Day-to-day tasks include interpreting design concepts, developing shop drawings and as-built drawings, updating plans based on site conditions or design changes, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

The Construction Draftsman will collaborate closely with project managers, site teams, and consultants to resolve drawing-related queries, maintain drawing logs and documentation, and support tender and construction phases with accurate and timely drafting work.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in CAD and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar) with the ability to produce precise architectural and structural drawings.
  • With 5 yrs Relevant Experience
  • Ability to read, interpret, and translate engineering and architectural plans, specifications, and technical documents into clear construction drawings.
  • Knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and detailing practices relevant to structural and architectural works.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy in measurements, and strong organizational skills for managing multiple drawings and revisions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineers, architects, site supervisors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, drafting, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience as a Draftsman in construction or contracting environments, preferably with complex structural or government-related projects.
  • Ability to work on-site in Abu Dhabi, meet deadlines under time constraints, and adapt to project needs and evolving design requirements.
  • Currently based in UAE
  • With valid Driving License
  • Able to attend personal interview in Abu Dhabi
