Role Description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Prepare baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project execution plans.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules based on actual site activities.
• Identify schedule variances, delays, and potential risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform critical path analysis and evaluate the impact of changes on project completion.
• Prepare recovery schedules and mitigation plans for delayed activities.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to obtain progress updates.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, schedule updates, S-curves, and performance dashboards.
• Analyze resource requirements and recommend efficient allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Support tender planning by developing preliminary project schedules and resource plans.
• Review contractor and subcontractor schedules for compliance with project requirements.
• Assist with extension of time (EOT) claims, delay analysis, and planning-related contractual documentation.
• Maintain project planning records and ensure compliance with company procedures and client requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and present schedule status and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling (or as required by the employer).
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, and other project controls software.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, scheduling techniques, and project controls.
• Knowledge of critical path method (CPM), earned value management (EVM), and resource planning.
• Familiarity with construction contracts, procurement processes, and project reporting.
• Professional certifications such as PMP or Primavera P6 are an advantage.
• Currently based in UAE
• With valid driving License
• Able to attend personal interview in Abu Dhabi
