Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Abu Dhabi.
The Mechanical Engineer will support construction projects by reviewing mechanical designs and specifications, coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and site teams, and ensuring mechanical systems comply with project requirements and applicable codes.
Daily responsibilities include preparing and updating CAD drawings, assisting with machine and equipment selection, supporting installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, and monitoring progress to meet project timelines and quality standards.
The role also involves participating in technical evaluations, resolving site-level mechanical issues, contributing to project documentation, and collaborating with project management to optimize resources and costs.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in construction or building services.
- With 10 yrs relevant experience in the field
- Proficiency in Machine Design and understanding of mechanical systems used in large-scale construction projects.
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for mechanical layouts, detailing, and coordination.
- Project Management skills, including planning, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and progress tracking.
- Research and Development (R&D) capabilities to evaluate new materials, technologies, and methods that enhance project performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field; professional certification or membership in engineering bodies is an advantage.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards applicable in the UAE.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to work on-site and adapt to changing project needs.
- Effective communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
- Currently based in UAE
- With valid driving license
- Able to attend personal interview in Abu Dhabi
