Project Manager – Civil Construction

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, execute, and oversee projects from mobilization through completion and handover.
• Develop and monitor schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
• Manage site engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings, specifications, contracts, and quality standards.
• Monitor progress, manpower productivity, material use, procurement, and project performance.
• Manage budgets and expenditures, control costs, and prevent cost overruns.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and stakeholders to resolve project matters.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and technical documentation.
• Identify risks, delays, and technical challenges and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, progress, payment certifications, variations, and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate Planning, Procurement, Commercial, QA/QC, HSE, and Finance departments.
• Conduct meetings, inspections, and progress reviews; report progress, budgets, risks, and performance to senior management.

Delivery and handover

• Ensure compliance with UAE construction regulations, health and safety requirements, and company policies.
• Lead coordination of testing, commissioning, snag rectification, final inspections, and project handover.
• Take overall responsibility for milestones, client satisfaction, profitability, and successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Extensive construction and contracting project-management experience.
• UAE/GCC construction project-management experience is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience independently managing civil construction, commercial, residential, or renovation projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, planning, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and UAE authorities.
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Good understanding of FIDIC contracts, variation management, project claims, and contractual obligations.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; able to manage multidisciplinary teams and multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.
• A valid UAE driving licence is preferred.

Pay

• Pay is AED 5,000–28,000 per month.
